OPERATIONS COMMITTEES & PROGRAM


COMMITTEES

FSCA members volunteer to serve the Operations of FSCA. Committee Chairs, Co-Coordinators, and Member appointments are finalized by September 1. FSCA Leaders adhere to the ASCA Standards: ASCA Ethical Standards for School Counselors and Ethical Standards for School Counselor Association Leaders.


ADVOCACY & GOVERNMENT RELATIONS

Advances the Florida school counseling profession with State agencies, State legislators, partners, stakeholders, through multiple methods, and, supports advocacy efforts of district level school counseling  and prek-12 school counseling.

AWARDS & PROFESSIONAL RECOGNITION

Develops new awards and recognitions, reviews and organizes the procedures and practices for existing awards and recognitions, and determines the calendar schedule. Scoring teams for the various awards and recognitions are a separate group of invited school counselors and educators.
