Jon Harris Maurer, Public Policy Director
Jon Harris Maurer is strategically positioned in downtown Tallahassee, where he keeps an eye on the Florida Capitol as Equality Florida's Public Policy Director. He serves as a front line lobbyist for LGBTQ equality in the Capitol and leads local policy work around the state. He graduated from Rice University and Florida State University College of Law, where he served as Editor-in-Chief of the Law Review. Prior to joining Equality Florida, Jon Harris spent five years in private legal practice for administrative and environmental law. Outside of work he chairs the Mayor's LGBTQ+ Advisory Council, volunteers with Leadership Florida, and spends time with his family and too many house plants.
Noelle DeLaCruz, Senior Manager of Health Equity
Dr. Noelle DeLaCruz (she/her) is a Licensed and Nationally Certified School Psychologist and Certified Child & Adolescent Trauma Professional. She holds a Master’s degree in School Psychology from the State University of New York University at Buffalo and a Doctor of Psychology degree from Fairleigh Dickinson University in New Jersey. Noelle was an Associate Instructor for the Crisis Prevention Institute and has worked in public schools and private practice for nearly two decades. Through her current role as Senior Manager of Health Equity, Noelle provides structural support within educational, community, and healthcare settings to ensure that LGBTQ+ individuals receive the highest standard of affirming and inclusive care. She collaborates with statewide professional organizations to develop training and implement initiatives that prioritize suicide prevention and trauma informed best practices for LGBTQ+ youth, clients, and families.
